What is Protsahan all about...!!!!!

It was an atmosphere of rejoice on 20th December, 2008 when students completed their SEM III exams. It was indeed a great time for students as they feel that they have become 75 % MBA. Now comes the real time for all to come together and tie our hands together for a gala event PROTSAHAN 2009.

Lets start the journey by knowing what lies in the roots of PROTSAHAN.

The very basic motive of organizing PROTSAHAN is to allow students to come up with the creativity and imagination and to give them a real platform to showcase their talent in front of people, which they would have never done in their past. This is true from both sides .. i.e. You can be a part of organizing committee and show your talent, or you can be a participant of PROTSAHAN and you can showcase you talent.

It was our long lasting dream since the day we entered into VMPIM. We believed that we could make a difference to the institute. The day we started working for PROTSAHAN seriously was somewhere around beginning of July, as soon as the third semester started. Today we are happy to share with you that we are on the verge of creating history at VMPIM. This festival will last for two long days and we are going to invite students from all over India to take part in the gala event.

Students will come up with various ideas and they are all set to work for the event. Now its high time for you all to pray to the Almighty that the event will be a great success. If you are a well wisher of VMPIM family, you can also contribute to the event by giving us suggestions on how to make the event successful. We will appreciate your responses.

New HR initiatives at VMPIM

Right from the first year of the the new HR course at VMPIM, the students have initiated various activities, under the guidance of Prof. Shital Badshah and Ms. Poonam Chhaniwal.

Here are the details of some activities.

Article discussion/ Group Discussion:
The main objective of the activity is to improve the communication skill of students. The students are given the latest articles on HR issues and latest trends in HR, prior to the discussion date. These articles are collected from renowned HR books, journals, magazines and news papers.

Industrial visits/ Seminars:
To complement the theoretical knowledge with the practical learning, Industrial visits are frequently arranged with a view to discuss the HR issues with the HR managers and executives. Uptil this date, HR students have visited various renowned companies like the Mother dairy and Ratnamani Metals and tubes Pvt. Ltd.

Celebrations at VMPIM:
This activity is initiated with the objective to add the joy and celebration in the life of students and faculty members, by celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and date of joining the institute.

All these activities are managed by group of students Janvi Mehta, Poonam Kanchani, Varsha Sukhia, Heet Amin, Nidhi Jayswal.

We heartily congratulate the HR people for their excellent initiative. Such activities will help to build the value of our institute. We hope that such trend stays forever at our Institute.

Sem III students grabbed the show at Siraaj 2008

Keeping the tradition alive, students of semester III took part in various events in the inter college management fest organized at S K Patel institute of management SIRAAJ, on 5th and 6th December, 2008.

A group of five students; Purvish Shah, Paras Shah, Amrita Mashar, Manu Singhal and Aarohi trivedi took part in the advertising game. They all successfully made to the semi final rounds of the event. They presented a Business idea on a Chocolate reatil outlet called "Chocolite"

Ms. Goral Patel won the title of Ms. Siraaj 2008. It was indeed a great experience for all to be on the active front. All the students of VMPIM have taken oath that they will be participating in all the events that would be organized by various colleges. This will help us to make a good rapport with the colleagues from other colleges.
