As you all know , Protsahan 2009 has been voted as our Inter college event name. Now we are in the phase of deciding the Slogan for our event. You can suggest a nice slogan for the same. It can be in Hindi or English or a combination of both. One such slogan which comes to our mind is " Protsahan 2009 - Confluence of Ignited Minds "

On the basis of online voting by students and offline voting by Profs, we have zeroed on Protsahan 2009 as the name for inter college management fest organized by VMPIM.

A hectic week ahead at VMPIM

Students at the campus will be busy with some or other work throughout the week. There are loads of presentations, submissions and quizzes this week, which will keep the students on their tenterhooks.

Sem III people will be answering quizzes; Juniors from Sem I will also be answering quizzes.

On the other hand, educational tour is postponed to next month.

We wish all the students all the best for their work.

Be a Part of Organising Committee for Inter College Management Fest 2009

Hello Friends.

As Jin Kwon has Rightly Said , "One piece of log creates a small fire, adequate to warm you up, add just a few more pieces to blast an immense bonfire, large enough to warm up your entire circle of friends; needless to say that individuality counts but team work dynamites"

We Invite The Students of VMPIM , CMS , MBA Retail , MBA Pharma to be the part of Organising Team for upcoming Inter college management fest- January 2009."

Following are the details about various committees which will work together to make the event successful. Please Go through it and Register your self for the appropriate commitee.



General Management Committees :

* Mike and stage team
Team members are required to handle each and every minute activities related to the stage and sound system that will be required to conduct all the events simultaneously; arrange the props for the participants; arrange tables, chairs and podium whenever required; etc


* Catering team
Team will be responsible for managing the food service for all the students and participants; judges and all the people who are directly or indirectly related to the event


* Transportation team
The team will be looking after the transportation facility that we will be providing to the judges, chief guests and participants.


* Decoration Team
This team will be solely responsible for decorating the entire college during the event days; ensuring proper layout of the event venues; deciding where to put the banners; where to put the stalls; where to put the sponsors banners; what would be the layout of the stalls and kiosks; etc


* Content and design
The team will be responsible for designing the content and vocabulary for the posters, the website of the event and the brochures and information booklets.


* Media and Promotion
The team members will be responsible for promoting the event on a larger scale, by using various sources like Internet, mobile, etc. People having their goodwill and contacts with the media people would be entertained to be a part of this team...


* Sponsorship
They will be required to work in the fields rigorously in order to get sponsorships, prizes, certificates, trophies, gift hampers, etc. People having their goodwill and contacts with the Media and Corporates would be entertained to be a part of this team


* Invitation and communication
The team will play a very essential role of communicating about the event with the participants of various colleges across India

• There will be separate committee for each game.
• Team members of each committee are required to form the rules and regulations of the game, and to conduct the event completely right from the planning stage till the final execution on the day of event.
• Each and every minute detail regarding the execution of the particular game will be taken care by the members of the respective committees.

Inter college management fest to be organized in JANUARY 2009

Looking upon to the convenience of the students, the participants from various colleges and the examination schedule at VMPIM, finally it has been decided that the Inter college Management festival will be organized in the beginning of January 2009.

Looking to the overwhelming response of the students from various B schools, we feel very glad to share that this time the college will also be inviting students from outside Gujarat to participate in various formal and informal events.

“Our aim is to invite maximum number of students from within and outside Gujarat. Thus, early Semester period would be the favorable time for the event” says Dr. Mahendra Sharma, Honorable director of VMPIM.

During the two day long Management fest, there will be various formal Management events and informal events too. We feel very glad to share that the college is taking a crucial step by organizing an event called the “Business Plan Contest”. Such an event will be beneficial for Management students to develop their Entrepreneurship skills.

Pratibha 2008. A new milestone for VMPIM.

V.M. Patel Institute of Management organized VM's Pratibha, a National Level summer project competition on 19th and 20th September, 2008. Our institute crossed a new milestone this year. We got a very good response from students all over India. We had received entries from Mumbai, Pune and Chandigarh as well.

We heartily congratulate all the members of the organizing committee of Pratibha 2008.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy....

Now a days, Table tennis has become a second home for students. I cant understand what is so special in this game that makes students go crazy for it...

Waves 2008... An unforgettable experience...

Students of Sem III won the first prize for the group performance. They performed a humorous skit depicting the Dhirubhai family. Tantrik baba was very much successful in resolving the conflict between the Ambani Bandhu's. Audience was mesmerized with tantrik Baba's words "Am Agra May me gaya da".......!!!!

Review of Pratibha 2008 and Waves 2008..!!!!

VM's Pratibha, a two day national level seminar was organized at VMPIM on the 19th and 20th September, 2008. Students from various B schools participated in the event and shared their industry experiences with their colleagues.

We invited industry professional to judge the performance of the event. Adding glory to our event, Dr. Rasananda Panda, the associate professor at IPMG gave his service as a judge of the event. The suggestions of Dr. Panda helped the participants to gain fruitful insights in their summer project work.

This time our college crossed one more milestone by organizing the event at a National level. We recieved entries from various B schools outside Gujarat. i.e. Pune, Mumbai and Chandigarh.



Waves 2008




Waves 2008, by way of which the seniors welcome their new batch juniors. Waves was organized on 27th September, 2008. There was an excellent performance by the juniors. Ramp show and fashion show was also performed.
